New Features:
More accurate and faster results with enhanced Weighted Voting charts
For organizations like community associations, shareholders, accounting and legal partnership firms that rely on weighted voting, reaching clear decisions on important votes is now simpler and quicker. We’ve upgraded our charts for weighted voting scenarios to give you a clear picture of the vote’s progress and outcome. Here’s what’s new in the charts:
- Participation rate – We’ve added a calculation that shows the percentage of your organization’s total ownership that has actually voted. This instantly tells you how much of the voting population has voted, so you can quickly determine if you’ve met the necessary participation thresholds or quorum.
- Easier to switch between weighted vs non-weighted results – You now have the option to switch between viewing your results with or without weighted votes in one spot at the top of the results page. This means you no longer have to check a box for every individual chart, making it much faster and simpler to see the results you need.
Enhancements:
In addition to the enhanced weighted voting charts, our team has introduced several quality-of-life enhancements. These improvements are designed to help you run smoother elections with less administrative burden and greater confidence in your results.
Simpler Ballot Setup and Management
- Quick Access to Ballot Management – We’ve made it simpler for you to access and manage ballots. The Ballot Admin page is now directly accessible in the main navigation menu, and logging in takes you directly to this page instead of the main dashboard. This change saves you time on every login and streamlines your workflow so you can make updates quickly.
- Easier Sample Ballot Duplication – When you copy a sample ballot, the description field will now be blank. This enhancement eliminates any risk of leaving old ballot descriptions that could confuse voters and improves clarity for everyone.
- Welcome Message – When you add a new voter, the option to send an automatic “Welcome Message” is now turned off by default. Since our platform offers login-free voting, sending a welcome message for voting portal logins is optional. If desired, election admins can send welcome messages to provide their membership with additional features such as support tickets and resident engagement functionality that are integrated with Pilera’s property management software.
- Easily Check Your Voter List for Errors – You can now use our new Validator feature to upload your voter list and check for any errors in the data before going live with your ballot. This feature was previously in Beta. After extensive testing with our clients, we’re excited to now make this tool available for everyone.
- New Voter Identification Numbers – We’ve changed “Account Number” to “Voter Identification Number” on the voter account. This simple change helps election admins and managers clearly understand that each unit only gets one vote (in a one-vote per unit scenario), even if the owner has multiple accounts. The clear voter identification numbers simplify voter setup, reduce post-election challenges, and provide a better audit trail for your organization.
Improved Voter Experience
- Improved Multi-Unit Selector – The multi-unit selector now includes clearer instructions and visual boxes to make it easier for voters to understand how to select the unit(s) they are voting for. This includes displaying the voter’s name and address if applicable. Additionally, these new changes indicate to residents that they must select at least one unit before submitting their vote.
- Cleaner & Simpler Voter Screen – We’ve removed some extra text at the bottom of the ballot that referred to specific ballot settings to make the voting screen feel easier to understand and feel less cluttered. With this new update, voters can concentrate on selecting their choices and feel more comfortable participating.
Client success
- Question ID Visible for Customers – We’ve added a unique identification number to every ballot question called the UUID, which is located on the bottom right of the ballot question. If you ever need to contact our support team, providing this number will allow us to instantly locate the ballot question and resolve issues much faster for you.
- New Interactive Help Guides – We’ve added step-by-step interactive demos directly within the app to help you quickly learn how to use various ballot features. With the demos being interactive, it’s a great way to learn by doing and get your team up to speed independently.
